Hi all! Alpha 4 is ready! This is a first "not an prototype anymore" release. ;) You can download it free!
I was busy working on it and I have a lot to show you!
A new scenario menu were introduced and I can give you the first two historical scenarios. Battle of Szegszárd and Battle of Marosszentimre. A lot of UI improvement were done like turn indicators, popups. I have completely rewritten the pathfinding and the AIs from ground up. Which means error free navigation for both the player and the AIs. No more weird unit teleportation. And Ai units selected paths now marked clearly. Camera will focus on the selected AI unit when it is doing any action. I have balanced the units basic attributes and battle calculations.
I still aim for weekly releases. However rewriting the AI was a bigger piece of work. Even so I did not want to take to long and I wanted to share this version with you already. So I turned off tile movement costs for now on the new pathfinding Ai. So even the swamps are only use one movement costs at the moment. This is temporary! This is the first on my TODO list. :)
What I plan for next week release is Add one more historical battle. Most likely it will be Battle of Szeben. Make moral and panicking work in the game, so you don not need to destroy all the opponents anymore.
