All in all, I found Unity fairly easy to work with. Bolt is easy to understand and very comprehensive. One issue I did have with it is that there is a delay in calculating collisions for static objects, so I couldn't use a plane as the base of the field. There is a lot of documentation on it and a simple Google search will answer most questions about it, which is nice. I enjoyed working with it, and will probably keep using Unity until Source 2 comes out.
