Using Signed Distance Fields for sprites

Demon Flux (Oculus Quest)
A downloadable game for Windows and Android

Demon Flux uses Signed Distance Fields to generate the sprites for the characters and scenery. This allows low resolution textures to be used to define clean edges that don't blur, even when you get very close to the texture. This is great for VR where the player can get very close to objects.
