Build v0.5.1
Changes:
- New board GUI.
- New snatch buttons.
- New background music (randomly chosen at game start).
- In the “Vs AI” mode, AI set to level 3.
- 2.5s spawn time for each letter tile.
- First letter tile spawns immediately after “3, 2, 1, GO!”.
- In the fake “Online Play” mode, AI is set to level 5 to look like a real player.
- Added functionality for whether user is connected or not in fake “Online Play” mode.
- Reorganized code (WIP).
Known bugs:
- New AI in the fake “Online Play” mode can form words from the “pool” in the middle and from a board, however it has problem snatching.
Known issues:
- Major refactoring of codebase.
- Multiple subsequent builds incoming (fixes, missing features, possibly early implementation of vfx too) over this week and next week.
- Hence, buggy build at the moment.
- Missing handling of the fake “Online Play” will be put back in.
- AI may need a little tweaking.
- Dedicated game server is being worked on.
- Possibly some letter tile sliding bugs.
Note:
- I’m considering setting up a CI system eventually for automatic nightly or scheduled builds.
- More efficient and more transparent workflow as every build is generated automatically as soon as possible or as scheduled.
- Builds are released continuously at every change.
- As “artifacts” in each commit.
- Will need GitHub account and be invited to the private repo to access.
