This is a bit of the design process we had, we wanted to play around with different pixel art styles. We didn't know if we wanted chunky black outlines or the more crisp and smoooooth color edges with more shadows. We went with the smooth ones.
We made some nice idles. It's our first time working with pixel art, so I was personally quite surprised and pleased with how it turned out.
Same with the walking. I think I looks cool for a first approach to the animations, so now we have something to work with.
