An important message from Jesper regarding TakeLime Games in 2020 and 2021
The end of April 2020 marks the beginning of my personal game development journey. I wanted to start with a classic
story adventure game and called it Norman Dream. But then my ideas
shifted to a top-down sandbox game like Terraria and Minecraft, and Everplant was born.
TakeLime reached 150 subscribers on YouTube this year with thousands of channel views, and I could list some other stats, but I don't think those matter much before the release of an alpha version. The year 2020 was for me a year of learning new things and getting into the
Game developer community. I love working with Godot and am excited about what we have already accomplished. Among them modding, a sandbox system, mobs, advanced procedural world generation, building and so much more are just a few examples.
But the whole journey has just begun! New and harder challenges will come, like mastering multiplayer and creating new publicity.
In 2021, I will drastically expand interactions with mobs and animals, pass a local and online multiplayer that's accessible for everyone, add space to the game, expand our modding tools, and much more! But most of all, I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey and wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Without you guys I would have lost the motivation on this project long ago <3
Stay healthy & happy,
Jesper
