When I write a game called "Light and Dark" and slap onto it a taijitu, there is an obligation to incorporate the philosophy embodied by the ancient symbol.
That requires going outside Western conceptions of "good and evil" or "chaos and order" that are at the root of the movie franchise this game imitates.
So: yin the light, male principle, warm and friendly, aggressive, hard, dry, and deluded; yang the darkness, female, passive, cold, soft, yielding, wet, and enlightened.
