Roadmap to 1.4-beta
Work has begun on the next release of Space Rocks 2. I've learned a lot since starting this game in 2019, and I've gotten a little feedback on the first two betas, so I'm applying new ideas to the game's development. Major improvements in the works include:
- retro rockets: the ship can slow to a stop over time; this should make the game easier to pick up
- variable thrust power: it can be difficult to maneuver at high speed, so thrust will be adjustable
- start button: game will not start until player presses "left" or "right" to enter the screen
- difficulty tweaks: I will be messing around with the life system and the number of rocks to increase engagement
