0.12.0 is hot off the stove. It featured a lot of changes under the hood. The new active skill uses a highly configurable system and was created in about 30 seconds after the system was in place. This system will allow for quick development and testing of new skills. Same for towers and monsters.
Otherwise, the rest is largely the same.
