#Demo Update
This was hard, After testing and feedback on the last couple of builds, I hit a bit of a crisis.
I'd been working for a month and the game was just not fun, it still felt empty and bland, and I had no idea what to do.
Fortunately the fantastic Michael Games https://michaelgames.itch.io/ came to the rescue with some absolutely brilliant suggestions! Thank you so much for the feedback!
Today i set about implementing the first lot of them, starting with increasing the player characters movement speed, and adding more platforming obstacles, these included
then I added automatic checkpointing so the players progress is saved every time the enter a new challenge or puzzle room.
and placed more enemies to increase the amount of combat, to make the gameplay slightly more varied.
These are the first of many upcoming changes and I will continue to work hard to make Sands of Scorpio a more enjoyable experience,
I also felt that the graphics of the game did not mix properly the 3d models did not blend well with the 2d backgrounds, and so I began the process of overhauling the graphics starting with removing the 2d desert background image and replacing it with a Unity terrain object.
Coming up soon I will be replacing the temple columns and adding a skybox
Please comment on what you think in regards to this choice, i'd love to hear!
