Entering alpha
Hello community,
I have to apologize for the last version, InDev 5, which was not playable due to bugs in GameControl- and Player-Scripts.
As for alpha 1, most bugs are gone. I finally finished concepting the Idea of a 3D-Pong-Clone, where the ball would try to go around the player as it's approaching the goal. It's quite a challenge to hit ithe ball, if it's speed is at maximum. The problem right now is, that the base speed feels slow (It's 5.5 meters/second).
The changes:
- now using Unity 2020 (latest stable)
- Unity PostProcess Stack is enabled with AA, AO and Bloom, which you can control via the major graphic quality dropdown
- now featuring some Tween effects on the UI, to make scoring feel better
- Singleplayer (aka 3rd Person) Cam is now the default
- Predicitive AI and Evil Ball are now per default turned on
- changed the 3rd map from barren lands to empty lands
- added an outline shader to the 1st Player GameObject, which activates if you play with the Singleplayer Camera
Current Problems:
- An dedicated android build is currently not possible, cause the Unity Editor refuses to build it
- the WebGL player still won't work with Linux or Android
- Someone forgot to improve the predictive AI
Upcoming changes;
- there are 3 maps coming
- a progession system where players can unlock maps and different stones
- savegame
- the Options need to be saved aswell
- more Options for sound, postprocess
- In that order
