SCAVENGING: Can you find stuff you need? The depletion die of what you find is set by your scavenging roll (e.g., roll 5 or 6⮕(d6)).
Basically, it's a world of scarcity. If you need stuff, and you can't barter for it, then you have to find it in the ruins. The better you are at finding stuff, the better stuff you will find. If you're not real good at searching for good gear, you'll end up with crappy stuff that breaks after one or two uses, sending you back to search again.
Frustrating? Intentionally so.
