#devlog #input system
Last days I've been working on Input System, and made big step forward. In my dev version correct input system mechanics is there and fully working! I even went as far as hard coding second player for testing, whether keyboard could work alongside gamepad, and it works. When I almost painlessly went through process of implementing control method switcher, I hoped that today would be the day of relase of first public 0.2 version with keyboard support. However... Big oof happened. In code I hardcoded value of maximum speed that ships cannot exceed. It works fine in unity editor. In publish-ready build, however... it's not. Player Ship ignoring this value completely. Needless to say, I can catch my own bullet.
So unfortunately, more hours of testing ahead of me... hopefully I can drop the update by the end of this week.
Below you can watch two player ships controlled independently of each other. One step forward for having multiplayer
