While version 0.3 of The Great Frebbventure may not add any new content strictly speaking, it's a massive change none the less! Making Frebb a more enjoyable experience all-around was the priority here; check out this changelog!
Character changes:
- ALL of Frebb's moves have been buffed significantly in the damage department; meaning most enemies and bosses will now go down quicker. A spin attack KOs most small foes instantly!
- While sprinting, you will gradually build up to a higher max speed. Turning mid-sprint now puts you into a 'quick-skid' state, wherein you will reverse momentum much faster.
- Pressing the jump button while holding the 'down' key midair allows you to perform a fast fall.
- Frebb's spin attack no longer cements him to the ground; you may freely jump out of it at any time.
- Frebb's spin attack now has a more reasonable bounceback when hitting sturdy enemies.
- The 'Frebbzooka' fires much faster; you can also continue to move and jump while aiming it.
- Frebb now has significantly higher traction, and falls a bit more slowly.
- Roxy's jump physics are altered, such that she rises a bit more gently.
- Roxy, like Frebb, has had her traction and acceleration adjusted.
- Roxy's roll attack has been replaced with a shield that takes free hits for you, but leaves you stunned when depleted.
- Roxy's ground pound has significantly less landing lag, and can be angled forward by double-tapping the attack key.
General changes:
- Customizable controls! The Run, Jump, Attack 1, and Attack 2 buttons can now be remapped from the pause menu.
- Collision with slopes and jump-through platforms has been made far more reliable.
- The shop system now features an explanatory cutscene.
- Several bosses with 'waiting' mechanics have had their intervals sped up.
- Additional health pickups have been added to levels in World 2.
