"Banners Begone!", an Endless Update

Banners Begone!
A browser game made in HTML5

Heya! Glad you're still around!

I had a blast reading your impressions here, on reddit and on discord; they were incredibly inspiring! Thank you for your support!

Many of you noted that the game is kind of short; I suppose it's true and by all means intentional. In "Banners Begone!" I avoided overstretching the game, because I believed that it's much better as a saturated and short experience.

However, I decided to give you guys an opportunity to play for as much as you like by introducing the:

Endless Mode

It becomes available when you beat the game once, and consists of the final phase but, y'know, endlessly.
See how far you can get!

I also have a few stats to share!

(did ya think that "Analytics Agreement" was for nothing?)
Over the first release-week I kept track of how many people played and how far they got.
It was mostly useful during beta, but still.

Here we go:

  • Around 3500 people played the game in total
  • Almost 50% beat the first phase
  • Almost 40% beat the last phase, which makes me really happy
(In beta only 20% completed the game 😞)
  • Total earned ðŸ’² 15 964 622 117  (16 billion, wow!)
  • Total earned ðŸ§¨ 14 063 796 153  (pretty close, huh)
  • Total earned ðŸ”‘ 139 266 662  (it was a rarer resource after all)
  • On average, y'all got an "A" Rank. Amazing!

So...

Really fun to look back and reflect on these numbers. Which is.. what I'll be doing next.

For the time being, "Endless Update" is the last update for "Banners Begone!"
(ironic, I know)

After a bit of self-reflection, I'll be thinking and coding my next game.
(perhaps something a bit more idle?)

For now, thank you again!
And see you soon!
