Matthew: Audio Work
Posted October 28, 2020 by Onefin
This week, I did work for the project that falls under my role as the Audio/Narrative designer:
- I found a few ambient looping sounds, including farm noise, fan noise, and footstep noise, that play at the appropriate times.
- I wrote a one-minute rough draft of music. I went for a Calum Bowen style that would fit the quirky premise of the game.
- I scripted a dialogue system that will allow me to add NPCs and a narrative to the game later.
I also implemented several features that helped with the levels:
- The first person controller now has a camera controller so that you can view the platforming stages from whatever angle is most convenient.
- I coded fan physics so that the barn section of the level is playable and testable.
- I attached the cow model made by Joseph to the player and implemented model turning so that the player faces the direction they are moving.
