Build v0.2.0
Changes:
- 10 tiles per row.
- Letter tiles snap to grid.
- Letters are arranged according to Ting Yu’s algorithm.
- Start game countdown.
- Last X number of tiles start a game over countdown, with progress bars.
- Scoring system.
- Win / lose conditions.
- Win / lose screens.
Known bugs:
- Simultaneously selecting tiles from the player’s board and spawned tiles from the pool causes tiles from the player’s board to be unsnatchable.
- May have other tile select bugs.
Issues:
- No limit on how many letters can be in a word, so if the number of letters is greater than the maximum number of letters in a row, the word spans across rows.
- Spawned letters are still completely random, so can’t form proper words most of the time.
- Doesn’t check against a dictionary or word list yet, otherwise game would get stuck when no words can be formed.
- Need to close the game when it ends, no main menu or auto-restart yet.
