It's been a full week since A Modern Prometheus launched here on Itch.io, and a little less than a week since it also hit DriveThruRPG. The support I've received from friends and supporters has been phenomenal, and it's been awesome to see the game tickling people's interest across social media. If you've retweeted, commented, reviewed, or liked A Modern Prometheus, thank you! I love this game, and it's awesome to feel that other people do too.
Obviously one of the biggest parts of this game is its Stretch Goals, something I've never done before and not many people do outside Kickstarter. Really, "Sales targets" is a more appropriate description. 😂 Thanks to everyone who has paid for the game, and especially thanks to those who left very generous tips, we're well on our way expanding A Modern Prometheus for everyone.
This Stretch Goal campaign is going to be different thank a Kickstarter. Kickstarters are fast, frenetic, and viral. There are elements to a Kickstarter campaign that we don't have here... a concrete deadline to push snap decisions, and the visibility of a major platform like Kickstarter. Things are going to be slow, but hopefully steady. The goals are reasonable, and achievable: ~140 total copies of the game to meet our first stretch goal. It takes as long as it takes, and even if it takes forever, you still have the game straight out of the gate!
But if you want to help push A Modern Prometheus to its first Stretch Goal faster, there are definitely ways you can influence the outcome.
Thanks so much to everyone who has supported A Modern Prometheus so far! As we get close to Halloween, I hope my game helps you have some memorable fun with someone. I'm looking forward to this ongoing journey towards Stretch Goals, expanding the game, and generally having a horrific good time together. 🧟🧟♀️
