October 14 - Weekly Progress Report #11

Hi everyone! I can't believe we're already on the 11th report. It doesn't feel like it when I look back - the days since starting this idea in August have been such a blur. Maybe that's what staying at home all the time does to you?

It was a slower week for progress than I would have liked, since the work for a course I'm taking has ramped up a little. I still have tons more free time than when I was working though so you bet I'll take the gains where they come. Yaohu's scene isn't finished yet, but between coursework I was able to cross some small things off the (scarily long) list of small things that I can do when time is otherwise tight. It's a little overwhelming when I take a step back and look at all those little changes that were put on the backburner, which all still need to be wrangled and implemented... With only 16 days of October remaining, I just hope my aim to have a private bugtesting build within the month wasn't overly optimistic. It's always tough to balance the tightrope of "Just get the build out, people are waiting" and "Finish everything so their wait feels worth it".

Well anyway, the rest of the work week is gonna continue to be marred by coursework and personal stuff that I wasn't expecting to come up, but I'll see what I can do. God I wish I could stop time.

PS. I think I say thank you every now and then, but this time I really do want to thank the hundreds of folks who read these reports every week. When they began I didn't think anyone would care much for them, and that they would only serve as a schedule to keep me on top of things. But you've all given me some great comments, feedback, and motivation over the last ~3 months. From my heart, thank you everyone!
