After 2 weeks, I have added several features to snake lake to hopefully make it more enjoyable, replayable, and slightly more polished.
Changelogs -- (GAMEPLAY, CONTENT, POLISH, BUGFIX)
- GAMEPLAY added coop, play with a friend (arrow keys) and fight enemies together. Or run into each other. Press Spacebar to equalise health - take health away from one player and give it to the other.
- GAMEPLAY made difficulty and max spawnrate sliders, so you can either go with relentless enemy spawns, or a slow trickle of enemies if you need to test something or learn your skills
- CONTENT Added "Bombs", much like cherries, but they deal 5 damage and have a large explosion range.
- POLISH Added player sprites, as well as sprite rotation (and some code cleanup)
- POLISH Made proper colour coding for powerups. Red for health-related, green for "buffs" (such as an extra player body), and blue for movement-related. Good powerups have a green glow. Potentially harmful powerups (such as the bomb) have a red glow.
- POLISH Added a simple pause menu
