Despite another business trip, I've managed to push out another demo of Scrapship!
With players giving great demo feedback, I'm getting closer to getting this game to its final state.
The biggest change you'll notice is the player ship -- it's much more animated, even more so than most shmups. In fact, your player ship has 56 individual frames of animation! And it's not all for looks either! Your ship behaves differently based on the damage sustained.
Get closer to the action with Full Screen mode!
Tired of shmups that have you chasing power-ups? You can change your weapon at any time by pressing C!
Try the new scoring system! You only get points when you aren't shooting -- anyone can spam the screen the bullets . . . but only the best can survive with moderation.
And yes, this game is still being developed with the QB64 version of Qbasic. Yes, that programming language.
Qbasic gaming is not dead!
