I had so much fun designing and animating the knight that I couldn't help myself and I created some basic enemies next.
For the design I went as basic as I could. In fact for the first enemy I thought "What is the most basic enemy there is?". I found my answer, where most answers to questions are found, in anime. The most basic enemy in every japanese game or isekai anime is the slime!
Looks a bit odd, but that is only because their is no motion involved. When finnished I just want the slime to have some basic movement, left and right, no player tracking.
In the end I want the slime to jump towards the character, as some kind of attack... or at least an attempt of and attack... hey, he is doing his best, ok?
When some of you who read the last devlog already know that I am a huge Hollow Knight fan. This next one is pretty much inspired from there, the Fly.
The idea is that his tiny wings are so small that he can barely carry his own weight. A really sweaty dude.
(Imagine this animation a bit faster)
For now I want them to only move. If they are blocked they change direction. That's it for now.
I will catch up with an actual AI in the future when I have actual combat to test stuff out.
