Shhh, it's a devlog for my ongoing work. Still a secret obviously UwU
It's been two month and the current version of the new Daggan has waaay more content than the previous one.
Like I said I focus exclusively on the gameplay and the code. And it's doing super well!
I finished the skilltree, the building, the gathering and the fighting.
There's more in this not-good-looking work-in-progress than in the previous Daggan, and next month is dedicated to the AI, the unit control and production. And when I say "production", I mean "reproduction" wink wink
These are the very last parts of the gameplay to do, and probably the toughest!
I wasn't supposed to work on the art ... but I'm working on a shader that allows the players to customize their character's colours. I'm using a texture without anti-aliasing and with limited colours, easier to isolate. I'll use a system of 3D directional sprites like in Doom to animate them in the game. Thanks to the new Unity's shader graph <3 it's truly an amazing too!
I'll start working intensely on the art: 3D models, sprites, skills, FXs, level, etc in November and December, so I'm already working on the concept arts to find a nice identity, mood, for the game UwU I'm not gonna lie I love the idea of an architecture made of claws and teeth!
