#Release #helicopter #fpv #drone
Hello everyone,
I'm pushing the update 0.10.1, which add many new features and fixes. So first of all, I would like to thanks Patreons contributors, guys, thank you! So let's see what's news.
A game launcher is now available for Windows and Linux users (it requires .Net 4.6 or Mono to work) that makes easier to start the game in VR mode. Supported VR modes are:
The game launcher is located in the installation folder and is named "DVRSimulatorLauncher.exe". Just double click to start it from Windows, or launch it using Mono on Linux with the following command: mono ./DVRSimulatorLauncher.exe.
There is no support for Macos because SteamVR has dropped support for VR in this platform.
The new unified Aircraft system was a big refactoring part, but now I can add all aircraft I want. This release adds the Helicopter mode with one model for now. Physics is in early stage for now, but you can try an helicopter in FPV (or fixed view).
A new map was added, it's a big park for middle range training.
I'm still working on the physics with a new system that will help me to get a better data, especially for the drag calculation. You can expect this new physics component to be here in 0.11.0 in few days.
Early Access was planed to be in September but it was not possible for many reasons (children, new job). I'm planning to enter Early Access on Steam and Itch.io in October. Acually it's almost ready, I just need to polish few things. The game price in Early Access will be $10. It'll increase up to $15, the final price.
Yannick.
