v4.2.0 introduced a new Scene
system similar to Godot Engine in order to make adding content easier.
Note: The following was written around a year and a half ago, when I finished development on this update. This game was made in Python using Pygame, and since starting it I have moved on to Godot Engine.
This means that even though I put a lot of time and effort into Gim Descent during its development, it is unlikely that it will be receiving any updates in the near future, unless people really want it.
I guess that is the nature of hobby projects; you work on them and move on. Who knows though, maybe I will gain interest and resume this, the option is always open :)
I am likely going to be adding equipment next, or if not, some sort of gameplay modifier system. This should help spice up gameplay and hopefully add more replayability.
As well as this, look forward to some type of meta-dungeon progression throughout the game... should be interesting.
