Castle Constructor 2.0, the card system update has been released. This is a major update that changes the card system and the waves.
Rather than gaining a single new card after each level the player now gets a choice between a few card packs. Additionally the 3 waves in each level are now separated and between each one the player gets to choose a new pack of cards to use only for that level and is given time to place the blocks before the waves continue. This should make the game feel less like its just waiting around the whole time and gives players a chance to shore up their defenses if they aren't sufficient on one side or another. The card packs will likely be adjusted and balanced further in future updates so let us know if you have any suggestions.
The waves have been adjusted as well. Rather than choosing between preset waves the game now generates random waves based on a hidden difficulty value. This makes it much easier for us to balance the difficulty and adds more variety in wave compositions. As a result the game isn't so easy now and should present an actual challenge. This will also make it easier to add in some different difficulty levels in a future update.
