ReTux 1.4.1 Released
ReTuxA downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Oh no! Tux has slipped on a banana peel! Not to fear; this bugfix release will help Tux pick himself back up again.
After the release of version 1.4, a couple problems surfaced, so we’ve fixed those here. In particular, we’ve fixed the following issues:
- The camera movement was not obeying delta timing, causing the camera to have a faster movement speed when the game ran better. This has been fixed.
- The issue of the camera lurching forward and then suddenly stopping when Tux hits a wall has been fixed by limiting the camera’s speed when Tux is not horizontally moving.
- Changed the end of Tux’s first line from a question mark to an ellipse.
- Fixed up the readme to properly explain how to install dependencies.
- Made it so that walking bombs explode when thrown into the lava, instead of just being “knocked” like normal enemies.
- Fixed some bugs with the new / load game menu options which led to checkpoints in no-worldmap levelsets being ignored at load time, and which made it possible for an old game’s active checkpoints list to bleed into a new game.
