Hey, my the jam judging is over and my game won the TPS Official Game Jam #5! Yay!
I worked on a couple improvements over the days in between and here are some changes that I think make it more enjoyable!
- characters no longer fall through spikes
- improved body stacking collision
- hints in pause mode (one hint per screen)
- when two shuriken collide, they now destroy each other
- shuriken are no longer harmful when stuck in obstacles
- new scoring bonus when killing enemies in quick succession
- added limited bombs (3 for the whole run) to get rid of corpses and obstacles
- various enemy behavior improvements
- added flat platforms to make some jumps less annoying
- enemies spawn endlessly in some screens now to reduce situations where reset or seppuku is unavoidable
- other minor level design fixes
Still got a few things I want to improve on my list, but all and any feedback about the game and this patch is very welcome!
