This is another scene of the cave section I've been working on recently.
The main theme of the cave section - game design wise, is to solve the stagnant water problem.
(as I work through the cave level layout, I use light shaft and emssive maetrial as signposts - which did a very good job in terms of gameplay and aesthetics)
The stagnant water quest is conceptually very different from the previous quests I've designed - instead of going "upward or around" the obstacle, the stagnant water challenges the player to go "under" the obstacle. A fairly new gameplay concept I am still testing and exploring the many possibilities it could bring to the cave section.
