Pandemic Puzzle v0.7 adds the "ICU bed" game mechanic. One problem with the game is that there is no way to avoid infection at the start of the game other than luck. Somebody has to become infected for any virus position to be known. ICU beds are a mitigating strategy to handle this problem. If an infected person ends a level on an ICU bed, there is a chance that the person will recover and continue to the next level. Prior to v0.7, that person was automatically removed from the board before the start of the next level.
