Card Games v Literary Characters: Enhanced Edition (& Print Edition?)

Hello! Here's a substantial update for a 7 month old jam game.

The reason for this is: I decided to make a print version of Card Games vs Literary Characters at the End of the World. Before committing to an unchangeable print version of the game, I wanted to sit down and think hard about the rules and make changes to them that I was unable to do during the game's original brief development period. The standalone version of the game is called Cardinger:

  • You no longer score a point every turn. However, you do score a point when your deck replenishes.
  • If you have five cards in play, you may now voluntarily retire one of your cards and discard it.
  • If you do nothing during your turn, you now draw an extra card.
  • Cards with "devour" can have no more than 4 HP.
  • Cards with "prosperity" now score a bonus point for every 5 cards in a player's hand instead of every 4 cards.

Several cards have also been rebalanced, and the cards used exclusively by the final boss have been weakened. The last build with the old version of the rules is still available.

I'm not sure yet what my plans will be for the print version of the game - I printed it through the Game Crafter, so if people are interested in a copy, I can make the game available for sale to the general public.
