Current issues / things to do
Thanks to everyone who's tested so far!
Patch 0.0.9 is now online, adding a couple of fixes:
- Agility of the balloon has increased further to 50, which means you can zip about the sky quite smoothly.
- You can now bust clouds with the rope or box as well as with the balloon.
Earlier fixes:
- Moving left & right is now much easier (the 'agility' stat your balloon has has been changed from 15 to 30)
- Rate of ascent is now slower ('lift' stat has been changed from 2 to 1.75)
- Parachutists now fly in rather than just dropping from the sky, so they should be easier to dodge.
- I've added support for Retina monitors so the balloon character looks less blurry. Haven't checked it on a PC yet.
- Occasional bug where the balloon races off into space for no apparent reason - this seemed to occur whenever the balloon moved to the edge of the screen due to the method I was using to stop the player leaving the edge. Have changed how this works and haven't seen the bug again.
So the current known issues are:
- High score doesn't always register (I'd thought I'd fixed this but one tester has reported it, am looking into it)
- NPC characters don't behave 'realistically' when they bump into one another
Next steps include:
- Adding sound
- Improving animation for player and NPCs
