This is Charon's Labyrinth!

Charon's Labyrinth
A downloadable game for Windows

This is my initial entry on the Dev Log for CHARON'S LABYRINTH.

I don't usually log my devs, so this is a new experience.

The Game Jam is PIGsquad's Summer Slow Jam Horror Jam. Theme is "Don't Let It Out".

I have been working on an algorithm to randomly generate mazes, and this seemed like a perfect project to use it for. Added in a First Person Player Controller from Unity's Standard Asset Pack and set up some moody lighting, I have a pretty good start.

Basic concept of the game is that you have to figure out the labyrinth and find four keys so you can open the final door and escape. Meanwhile a malevolent force is chasing you, hounding your every step. You have to evade it, out-run it, and eventually escape without letting it escape with you... I think this will fulfill the "Don't Let It Out" theme, but I have a few other ideas I can throw in to really seal-the-deal.

I was really proud of my use of sound in my last game jam project "Control.Point" so I want to do the same thing here. I think sound is going to be a major part in setting a creepy/spooky atmosphere and really building up the tension for the player, so I definitely recommend headphones for this game!
