What's new
Veyra, your guide. A new guide character joins you for the first days and explains the hold step by step. Instructions now sit right beside the thing to click, "Show me" keeps them open, and unfinished lessons come back after loading. Old Watch still covers defence.
The Tavern. Once your hold is a town (it has a Counting House), you can dig a Tavern. Each night at 20:00, kin who can spare a coin come in for a drink and a chat, and the Chronicle tells you what they got up to, with a painted scene. Every level adds a barkeep and makes the night better. Charming barkeeps fill more seats and keep a quarter of the take as tips. Kin still buy their first weapon and armour before they spend on drink.
Kin can leave for a rival hold. Until now nobody ever really left. Now an unhappy kin may be tempted by a rival hold that looks better. You get a warning first, and their card shows them as Restless. Fix what's bothering them (an idle post, the wrong job, a missed wage) and they settle; leave it, and they may pack up and join that hold for good. Newcomers you took in are tempted more easily in their first year.
24 new faces. Twelve new women and twelve new men, each with a younger and an elder portrait. Older portraits got a retouch too.
Pairing pictures setting. You can now turn off the Pairing Bench's special pictures in Settings. With it off, the Bench shows the mother's normal portrait, the same as the father's.
Thank you to everyone playing and leaving feedback. One of the changes in this update came straight from a comment here. Keep them coming.
