First of all, big KUDOS to everyone playing, making videos, tweeting, and telling your cat about it 🙇🏻! The response we got on Itch blew our expectations and it's super re-assuring to see so many people enjoy the prologue so far 🥳
That being said, the prologue isn't without some faults. You see, in our rush to share the game with you, we left some unfortunate bugs in the game😬 Sometimes the pause menu would break your controls, other times you could "escape" the map and never be able to get back in!
Rest assured those (and many more!) issues are now fixed!
But the big bulk of work over the past week has actually been behind the scenes, the invisible stuff 👀 In preparation of making the game playable on certain other console many of you may or may have not been asking about, I've been optimizing the crap out of various problem areas of the game. The framerate should be a bit smoother and doing certain actions (like freaking out a whole big group of folks) should cause less/no drops anymore.
I'm not done with optimizing work and there's certain mechanics that still cause issues (coughfirecough), but those will be coming as well 💪🏻
Meanwhile, here's a little sneak-peek at another level that happens much later in the full game... anybody here a fan of Tower Defense games?
