What’s new, for the devblog

v0.2.1: richer, more varied rock

  • Richness grows with distance. Average rock health is 10 plus 6 per chunk away from the start, up to 255 (about 40 chunks out). Far rocks pay more.
  • Veins. A few neighbouring rocks (3–6 cells) share one health, within ±25% of the local average. Scouting for a rich vein pays. Health also caps a recipe: a 14-health vein can’t take a 15.
  • Flat start. Every rock in the start chunk has exactly 10 health, so the opening always plays the same. Dev only: debug builds draw pink chunk-border lines.
  • Spectrometer (50 blue, shown by the blue core): hover a rock to read its pressure, full health and color, e.g. 8/15 green. Without it there is no label.
  • Spectrometer 2 (400 yellow, shown by the yellow core): click a rock to open a panel listing every pressure from 1 to its health and the color each makes. A color reads ??? until you’ve seen it somewhere, and the last row says breaks.
  • The UI theme was refreshed.

v0.2.3: bugfixes

v0.2.4: altars, tool wheel, and a rebalanced economy
