Added Scale Modes and More Tutorials

WaveBots Editor
A downloadable Music Generator for Windows

Hello!

Time for another update.

New stuff:

  • Added support for scale modes Use a prefix ('do': Dorian, 'ly': Lydian, 'ph': Phrygian, 'mx': Mixolydian, 'ae': Aeolian, 'lo': Locrian) on the chords in the progression strings to set the scale mode. If you use the 'di' prefix, you also reset the chord to its diatonic variant so you don't have to remember the quality of all the chords in the mode that you are using. For example, 'do_di_I' will generate the Dorian diatonic tonic chord). More details can be found in the documentation.
  • Quickly rename items with Ctrl-E in the treeviews. For some reason, F2 did not work (I think it gets swallowed by the custom version of the multi-select treeview I use), but when I figure out how to fix that, I'll just add F2 as a rename-item shortcut as well.
  • Added more tutorials. I plan to flesh them out in future updates (add images etc.)
  • Updated some of the software packages to the latest version

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a float range control bug. Now it only updates when the focus is lost so that it doesn't mess up the upper and lower value while editing.
  • Fixed a phrase region edit bug that made it really difficult to add multi-part regions.

Bye!
