[Update] Pre-Alpha 0.2.0
Loot SnakeA downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Important notices:
- MAPS FROM PRE-ALPHA 0.1.0 OR EARLIER NO LONGER WORK
Brand new map system (PolyMap, the reason this update took so long):
- Based on polygons, instead of tiles.
- More info can be found here.
New tutorial map:
- Teaches the basics of the game.
New textures:
- Lava and water now have new textures + effects.
Removed tiles:
- The breakable wall tile has been removed temporarily. Will be replaced with a breakable wall shape later.
Enemies:
- A new look for the sniper enemy. Now matches the colors of the basic enemy.
- The sniper enemies can now be eaten.
- A bunch of small tweaks to the enemy AI.
Powerups:
- The powerup pickup screen now shows the name of the powerup you are about to pick up.
- Using powerups now costs multiple different kinds of loot.
- Some powerups have new particle effects.
Other:
- New loot collecting sounds.
- New UI to show how much of each loot type the player has.
- Fixed some bugs, and probably added some new ones.
- ... and a bunch of other smaller things.
