Devlog - 10 [Content and code change]

I'm sorry to say that all save game needed to be reset. There were to many changes in the content of the game.

  • The first drone is bought with a component, this will open up the quest tab
  • All achievements are redesigned
  • All components are redesigned
  • Settings are now saved
  • The abilities buttons are now only visible when a specific weapon upgrade is enable
  • Refactoring of some of the code
  • Changed the cost of weapons and life of enemies.
  • Bug: Problem with events after selling the ship
  • Bug: One of the weapon wasn't priced properly

There used to be 2 abilities button on the top and were always visible. Now, they get visible when a specific weapon upgrade is activated. Also, only when the weapon is installed. This should allow for interesting strategies in the future when more abilities are added.

Some of the code was change because I'm planning on having more abilities and special challenge areas. Example: Go to a new area, start at Sector 1 with enemies that can only be killed with a specific weapon and a difficult boss.

I'm looking for ideas on ways to make quest more exciting. I hope the pacing of the game is good.

In the next few days, I'll look at refactoring the code, add different design for weapon (and new weapons) and probably re-balance all the new features.

The code looks more stable right now and I don't see resetting save game anytime soon.
