We're announcing that Farm Idle's development and updates will be paused and possibly cancelled. We're here to clear off some confusion and explain why that is and what might happen to the game.
Patchwork Interactive(soon to be rebranded) has been paid to collaborate with a local business. They want us to create a simulator game that can only be bought from their store. We're very happy to take on this opportunity and to finally get a chance to get enough funds to release our work on Steam. The game that will be released on Steam is Slimeout with it's full release and other projects we're still developing, and Farm Idle's chances of ever going to steam are low, unless we do a whole revamp, which with Slimeout and the business game getting developed at the same time simply cannot happen.
The project's development status is officially set to Paused. Any member of the studio will not work on the game whatsoever and the game will not receive any updates as of September 1st, 2026 with no planned end date currently.
This will allow us to focus on releasing Slimeout faster and like we mentioned earlier, release it on steam.
We want to thank every one of you who ever tried or will try the project in the future. It has been the most exciting 6 months in which we've learned how to work as a team and how to appreciate feedback.
We will not leave you hanging - if we cancel the project we'll release a final update that will polish the rough edges of the game.
This is not the end of Patchwork, but it might be the end of support of our first game. We want to once again, thank every single one of you for playing, giving us feedback and generally being a part of the statistic that made us jump in excitement every time we saw a change - you mean the world to us, Dear Player!
That's with the info dump today... We hope we see you IN STEAM :)
