2026.26 Patch Notes

Greetings Booklings!

I have exciting news—Bookly is coming to Steam in Early Access!

In an effort to move the game towards the state I would like it to be in for that release, this has become a somewhat larger update than originally intended. So, without further ado, here are some of the exciting changes in this patch:

• Brand new customisable "Bookling" player models
• Unlock-able and customisable hats for your Bookling
• Achievements
• Visuals reworks to all levels
• New settings, including FOV slider
• Holding throw now drops books

There are still plenty of things to do before releasing on Steam, and then plenty more things to do before a full release of the game, but these updates feel like an important step in the right direction.

Other changes:

• Added initially placed books to Manor
• Fixed book shader bug
• Progress now hides when not actively reporting changes
• Reduced UI button sizes
