- Faye:
- The camera’s field of view now changes while using her speed boost ability.
- Added option to enable or disable this.
- Energy depletion rate increased.
- Energy recovery rate increased.
- Added 5 second cooldown on energy recovery.
- Lee:
- Visual effect added to whirlwind attack.
- Whirlwind attack now drags balloons towards the player.
- Hazel:
- Hazel’s basic attack has been re-worked:
- Tapping the button in quick succession will let her perform a series of slashes that each send out shockwaves to damage enemies from a distance.
- Shockwaves follow the incline of whatever object they’re on top of.
- Holding the button will allow her to keep the spinning energy orb to damage enemies and glide.
- Forest of Beginnings:
- Changes to the layout for Lee, Hazel, and multiplayer.
- Added more enemies.
- Added boss encounter.
- Pleasant Shores:
- Added collectibles to the environment.
- Added a second area to the sewers.
- Added hotel.
- Added new shopping center next to the hotel.
- Added pier.
- Added moving cars.
- Added distant fog.
- Added library building.
- Added sound effects for the following events:
- Attacks for Faye, Lee, and Hazel.
- Boost pad
- Enemy death
- Underwater music
- Water splash
- Balloon pop
- Footstep
- Car crash
- Collectible activate and collect
- Added boss music.
- Players can now lock onto enemies, bounce pads, and balloons.
- Fixed UI resolution issues.
- Replaced placeholder stat text (Power and Health) with icons and progress bars.
- Added a player damage taken animation.
- Players now get knocked back when taking damage.
- Added knockback and death animations.
- Added tips to the loading screen
- Added player character idle animations.
- Added a “best experienced with a gamepad” screen to game startup.
- Fixed a bug in which the entire background wouldn’t be dimmed on pause for some aspect ratios.
- Dialogue text now populates even faster when holding the jump button.
- D-pad can now be used on menus.
- Pause menu can now be closed by pressing the pause button again.
- Added re-center camera action to the right stick button.
- New collectible visual.
- Added diagrams of default controls to pause screen.
- Camera can now be rotated up and down in the hub world.
- Player and camera now face the correct direction when returning to the hub world from an action stage.
- Added support for moving platforms.
- Added homing attack lock on line visual.
- Changed underwater visual effect.
- Added exclamation point above the player’s head for interaction points and NPCs.
- Increased font size for multiplayer UI.
- Player characters and NPCs are now brighter and have small outlines.
- Players don’t carry momentum as much when moving slowly to help make the controls feel less slippery.
- You can now click on the “back” button with the mouse in the multiplayer character select screen in addition to hovering over it with the player cursor and pressing A/X/Spacebar
- Added a “sandbox options” section to the options menu.
- Players can no longer unselect menu buttons by clicking off of them.
