Version 1.33.0 makes Live Maps significantly more interactive.
Instead of mostly watching the party move through a fixed route, Atlas Expeditions can now branch into meaningful side encounters where the player chooses between different risks and rewards.
Live Maps now generate 1–3 route forks depending on Map tier and route length.
When the party reaches an unresolved fork, Auto-Run pauses until you choose how the expedition should continue.
There are currently 10 encounter types:
These encounters can affect combat strength, recovery, Gold and materials, Atlas Mastery XP, Map-chain chances and the remaining route itself.
Party members now contribute differently during Live Map combat.
Vanguards reduce incoming pressure, Rangers and Arcanists increase offensive pressure, and Menders provide recovery during the expedition. Party markers also reflect these roles visually on the Live Map.
All 8 existing Unique Maps now have their own expedition rules rather than functioning only as fixed modifier packages.
Examples include:
Atlas Codex, Mastery, Map Chains, Map rarities, affixes, Guardian Seals and the Atlas Forge all remain fully integrated.
