Version 1.20.1 is now ready.
After the release of 1.20.0 — The Shattered Meridian, I wanted to dedicate an update entirely to polishing and auditing the game as a whole.
This is not a new content expansion or progression update. Instead, 1.20.1 is a maintenance, stability, localization, and consistency release built directly from the final 1.20.0 player version.
The goal was simple: go through the complete game again, identify inconsistencies and weak spots, improve internal diagnostics, and make sure all existing systems continue working together correctly.
One of the biggest areas of work in 1.20.1 was the German localization.
Several interfaces use dynamic or partial rendering, which meant that some text could bypass the game's normal translation system. These paths have now received a dedicated audit.
Localization fixes and improvements cover:
Several previously missing German companion descriptions have also been restored.
The result should be a much more consistent German experience, especially in interfaces that dynamically update while playing.
The in-game Player's Guide has been reviewed and synchronized with the current state of the game.
Campaign guidance now properly includes:
Chapter XIV — The Shattered Meridian
The Chat guide has also been corrected. It now clearly explains that only the System channel is read-only, rather than implying broader restrictions.
Additional tutorial integrity checks have been added to the internal release tests to reduce the chance of future updates leaving outdated guide information behind.
The current Player's Guide audit covers:
A persistent Chapter XII achievement had wording that could become ambiguous after the addition of Chapter XIV.
Its English and German descriptions now explicitly reference:
Chapter XII — The Glassbound Crown
The achievement itself has not been replaced or reset. Its persistent ID and progression target remain unchanged.
As part of the audit:
The internal Crystal Rift self-test has been normalized to use the standard diagnostic result used by the rest of the release testing framework.
Legacy compatibility has been retained, so this is an internal reliability improvement rather than a gameplay change.
The Fractured Paths generator was also stress-tested again:
The embedded Arcade had redundant fullscreen permission declarations.
These have been cleaned up while preserving the legacy fullscreen behavior required for Safari compatibility.
This also removes the Chromium fullscreen permission warning that appeared during previous automated browser testing.
1.20.1 received another complete browser regression pass covering all registered main screens.
Testing profiles included:
Across all three profiles:
