Version 1.9.0 M5 Released
Posted August 02, 2026 by devgb
Version 1.9.0 M5 completes the Lost Mountain development arc and prepares the full 1.9.0 feature set for release-candidate testing.
New presentation
- persistent Homecoming Chronicle after the Mountain Heart is reclaimed
- animated throne-forge procession with returning Deepfolk
- replayable English and German epilogue
- final reclamation team, completion time and campaign-stat snapshot
- safe Homecoming reconstruction for existing M4 saves that already reclaimed the mountain
Reclamation tuning
- initial occupation pressure reduced from 35% to 30%
- pressure growth slowed, with stronger scaling from the Resonance Ward Network
- Mountain Supply Line discount increased to 12% per level
- Heartforge Arsenal success contribution increased
- fortification, resupply and counterstrike reduce more pressure
- failed assaults add less occupation pressure
- completed commander reports pause pressure until claimed
Correctness fix
The displayed locked assault chance is now the actual chance of completing the whole multi-phase assault. In M4, the displayed percentage was independently applied to every phase, which made the true completion probability substantially lower than the interface stated. M5 resolves the operation with one persistent mission roll while retaining phase-by-phase presentation and partial-progress reports.
Save safety
- Homecoming state derives from real commander and Mountain Heart completion
- invalid final-team identifiers are removed
- completion time and acknowledgement state are bounded
- acknowledgement is idempotent and cannot duplicate Chronicle entries
- Save Schema remains 38
- the historical browser storage key is unchanged
- Deepfolk Systems advances to Version 9 through in-place normalization
Development status
M5 is a development stabilization milestone. Hosted itch.io, Firefox, Safari, Android, real sleep/wake and physical screen-reader tests remain required before promotion to 1.9.0 RC1.
