Early Access Timeline - Future of Demo

We have received so many great ideas and bug reports from the community that have helped make Beat Blast an even better game. We hope that you join us over on Steam Early Access on August 14th. We have a lot of really cool updates planned for the game in the next year. Here are some of the exciting things we are going to be adding.

To make Beat Blast the best game it can be, we need to start paying our team. To try and encourage players to buy the full game, we are going to be removing a few things from the web alpha to make it more of a demo. August 3 the demo is going to be more limited. 

We thought about completely removing the demo now that the game is going to be for sale, but we realize a lot of people may not be able to afford the game right now and still want to play. So people can play the demo while they maybe wait for Beat Blast to go on a big sale. We understand, we also have lots of games wishlisted, waiting for that right price.

• Compete mode will be only available on the Steam version so we can link it properly to players’ accounts and give them rewards for top placements.

• You can keep playing indefinitely and there will be no timer, but level 3 is going to be removed from the demo. 

• The demo will be limited to the abilities you start with in the paid version of the game. Getting immediate access in a demo to abilities you need to unlock after a purchase won’t feel good.

We understand that some people are going to be upset, but we also believe many of you know how much work and effort goes into making a game. We are a small team and although we provided our game for free for a while, we now need to take care of our team. That is why we are asking you all to support us by buying the game that you have hopefully loved playing. If for some reason you do not purchase the game, no hard feelings, we can still be friends. August 14th, let’s party!
