Every weapon and support item now carries a stable family identifier. Proficiency no longer depends on whether an item happens to contain words such as “bow”, “staff” or “crozier” in its generated name.

Sword · Heavy · Bow · Staff · Scepter · Wand · Codex · Dagger · Spear · Glaive · Gun · Fist · Scythe · Chakram · Shield · Quiver
Historical imported items without explicit family data are repaired through a legacy inference fallback and saved back in the current format.

A matching primary weapon grants:
A compatible equipped support item grants another +8%. Therefore:
A Quiver cannot be equipped by a non-Bow Job, and a Shield cannot be equipped by a Job without Shield support. This prevents support slots from becoming universal stat positions.
Every Job profile now contains eleven persistent positions:
Weapon · Shield · Quiver · Helm · Armor · Gloves · Boots · Belt · Ring · Amulet · Relic
Shield and Quiver remain mutually role-gated. The presence of both positions in save data does not mean every Job can use both.

The 24 Arsenal Uniques cover boss hunting, speed, control, sustain, resistances, barriers, critical builds and element-specialized loadouts. Their effects use the established stat engine and do not introduce hidden unsupported proc rules.
