I was creating these for a personal project after not finding a good basic map tile set to start from. I figure others would appreciate getting a head start on their own map graphics, so I've created this pack. I think the page describes it well enough. These are tiles meant for making a "map", not a "level". They don't look pretty, but they would bring a sense of SNES or GBA game nostalga to your own in game maps.
I had meant to cover Vania titles like metroid/castlevania and such, but I have realized post publishing that these probably have other uses as well. I also went a wee bit overboard and made like, a dozen colors, and two resolutions for the tiles. This should provide a great head start for any multiple color map system in a retro game like good old Super Metroid.
