I've been on vacation for the last few days, but version 1.2.0 is now out! This update includes the witch, who provides the player with permanent buff potions, This is my solution for immersive player leveling. She will appear more often throughout the story after major milestones, to reward you. The full changelog can be found below and in game.
Also, my creative director has come up with a new overarching narrative for the game, which will be slowly implemented in the coming months, and donations have been turned on, so if you want to give us money you can!

* added a cave with special loot, only accessible in hard

** as of now, the horse doesn't do anything, but functionality will come next update
