Hi everyone!
It's been a few days since the last update on VR Farm Game, and I have been busy with some important changes to the game. Before I ramble too much, here's the changelog:
The most important parts of this update are teleportation and OpenVR/SteamVR support.
Teleportation is targeted at users who easily become motion sick. This is often induced by smooth motions, such as normal walking in VR Farm Game. Teleportation does away with those issues, but normal walking is still an option for those who feel comfortable with it.
In terms of OpenVR support, VR Farm Game has had it enabled for a while, but I haven't had anyone test it with an OpenVR headset. Once it was tested, multiple issues were encountered, with the game not opening, or trying to use WMR. I have since corrected these issues and made the game fully playable for all OpenVR gamers? users? players?!
The adjusted menu opening makes it easier for everyone, but was really targeted at OpenVR users because the Unity XR toolkit wasn't detecting the menu button on the Valve Index. Now, no buttons are required - just point your left hand towards you like it's a watch, and your menu will open right up.
